AN INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY OF AMATEUR AND PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS AND DESIGNERS OF ALL AGES

Hangzhou Art and Design Collaborative was established in 2015 as an international creative community that is accessible to both amateurs and professional artists and designers alike. To build this community we have two pillars:

 

One, our professional design-build practice which includes architecture, interior, furniture, graphic and product design; 

 

Two, our education initiative focused on art and design. Here we develop programs and events in collaboration with U.S. art and design colleges to provide an alternative to the art and design curriculum currently available to Chinese students of all ages.

In both of these we aim to blur the line between amateur and professional, exposing our students to the realities of building, manufacturing and making while providing an extremely refined and creative solution to our clients’ needs. HADC Studio, located in the heart of downtown Hanzghou, is a creative space with the sole purpose of MAKING. This means that the environment and atmosphere is an inspiring and productive one, a place not only defined by creative ideas but physical experimentation and full-scale build.

 

Our goal for both our students and clients is to learn through making. We are a full service studio that takes projects from design to fabrication in-house or with our local team of craftsmen. We are constantly expanding out networks both within China and internationally, to provide building and education solutions and opportunities currently unavailable in Hangzhou.
