Thomas Gardner is an American architect and educator. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from University of Texas, Austin, and his Master of Architecture from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Detroit, Michigan. Thomas served as Professor of Architecture at Rhode Island School of Design for seven years before moving to San Francisco, California to work with high school students on design-build projects in Studio-H. Over his long career Thomas has worked at renowned design offices such as Steven Holl Architects and Tod Williams Billie Tsien in New York City. He is currently Lead Faculty in the Center for Social Design at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
