Desmond Delanty is an American architect from New York. In 2013 he graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. In 2017 he graduated from the China Academy of Art with a Master of Architecture degree. Having worked and studied at architecture and design firms throughout the US, Japan and Italy, Desmond now lives in Hangzhou, China. He has taught architecture studios in the CAA School of Architecture and is currently pursuing his PhD with Professor Wang Shu, researching the different models of alternative architecture education. He started HADC in 2015 to make this research a reality, working to create a new bridge between the amateur and the professional.
